Arvest Bank Welcomes Two New Board Members in Springdale

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Patricia Montague and Scott Spradley have joined its Springdale board of directors.

Montague serves as senior vice president and administrator for Arkansas Children’s Northwest and has more than 30 years of experience in executive leadership in patient care delivery and pediatric nursing practice. She earned bachelor’s degree in nursing at Loretto Heights College in Denver, and a master’s degree in nursing administration at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

“We are excited to announce that Patricia has joined our board,” said Kent Williamson, president for Arvest in Springdale. “She has been very instrumental in the opening of the new children’s hospital, which has been such a blessing to Springdale and the surrounding communities. We are so fortunate to have Trisha on our team. The medical community in Northwest Arkansas is ever-growing, and having Trisha’s expertise will bring a wealth of knowledge to our board of directors.”

Spradley is executive vice president & chief technology officer at Tyson Foods. He is responsible for establishing and driving strategies across all of Tyson’s technology platforms, information systems delivery, information security, and data and analytics. He has been named as one of ComputerWorld’s Top 100 Technology leaders and as CIO Magazine’s list of the Top 100 CIOs.

Spradley earned a bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University. 

“We have had our eye on Scott for some time,” Williamson said. “Technology is changing very rapidly, so adding Scott’s knowledge and unique skillset to our board could not come at a better time. We feel privileged to have him join our team and believe he will be a tremendous addition to our current board of directors.”

One-day donation drive to help reduce food insecurity locally

Arvest Bank associates and community volunteers will be stationed at major intersections and storefronts across Baxter and Marion Counties Friday, April 26, for the 4th Annual “Feed the Pack Day,” to collect monetary donations in an effort to reduce food insecurity in North Central Arkansas.

All donations benefit the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas’ Backpack Program that serves more than 600 children in Baxter and Marion counties alone. Donations also benefit several other organizations in the area that operate backpack programs. Such programs provide food for school children who face food insecurity on weekends and holidays when they don’t have access to school meal programs.

Volunteers will be located at the corner of Hwy. 62 and Cardinal Dr. in Mountain Home from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. They also will be located outside Harp’s in Mountain Home and Yellville, Walmart in Mountain Home and Flippin, Fred’s in Yellville, SunFest in Gassville and Harp’s in Bull Shoals, all between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“This is an opportunity in which a small donation can make a big impact. I hope our friends and neighbors will consider making a generous gift so we can reach a new milestone for the children of North Central Arkansas,” said Sally Gilbert, market president of Arvest Bank in Mountain Home. “One dollar translates into five meals for those facing food insecurity. We’re excited about what this day will bring and we are grateful to everyone in our communities who are contributing in any way toward this effort.”

Since Feed the Pack began in 2016, more than $59,000, which provided more than 295,000 meals, and 4,300 nonperishable food items have been collected during the one-day donation drive.

Donation updates to Feed the Pack will be provided throughout the day at www.baxterbulletin.com, and hourly on KTLO radio, with the final total being announced at 7 p.m. on KTLO.

The initiative is held in support of Arvest Bank’s 9th Annual Million Meals campaign that challenges bank associates, customers and community members to participate in fundraising efforts and nonperishable food drives to reduce hunger in the more than 135 communities the bank serves.

The goal of the two-month, bank-wide Million Meals campaign is to collect enough food or monetary donations to provide at least one million meals to local, hungry families. In 2018, more than 2.1 million meals were donated in conjunction with the campaign.

Arvest Bank Announces Gray Hiring

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Magan Gray as an associate mortgage in Little Rock.

Gray will be based out of the Arvest branch located at 440 W. Markham in Little Rock, and work closely with the mortgage loan manager Eric Cullum in the generation, evaluation, approval, processing, closing and servicing of real estate loans.

“We are thrilled to add Magan to our mortgage team,” said Cullum, who serves as mortgage loan manager for Arvest in central, northeast and southwest Arkansas. “Her knowledge and expertise will make our team stronger, but more importantly, be a tremendous asset for our customers.”

Gray and her husband, Charles, live in Cabot.

Arvest Foundation Donates $2,000 to City of Yellville

The City of Yellville received a $2,000 grant today from the Arvest Foundation. Residents of Yellville and Marion County will soon have greater sports opportunities thanks to the donation. The funds will be used to expand and improve the youth sports programs in the area.


“We are excited to support the City of Yellville as it continues to grow and expand on the services and activities it offers to the citizens of Marion County,” said Mike Willard, president and CEO of Arvest Bank in North Central Arkansas. “With these funds, the youth sports programs will be able to continue to successfully offer sports activities to the area youth.”

“I am very excited to see the impact that this donation will have on our city youth sports programs,” said Shawn Lane, mayor of Yellville. “It’s great for our community and it will provide many opportunities for our town’s children. We are thankful to the Arvest Foundation for their generosity.”
